The future has arrived, and with it comes a whole new perspective on style, design, ideas, and that which we hold dear. One might think that because we have successfully entered a new world of high technology, old ideas, history, as we like to call it have no importance to the way we live. But not quite so. In the world of home design and decoration, it seems that the more we move into this high speed global society, the more we welcome elements around us that appear more than just antique, they are positively ancient. At one time, futuristic images in film, books and magazines would have us believe that as we entered the "space age" we would not only surround ourselves with gadgets that would improve the quality of our lives, but our style of décor would become sparse, minimal and would be constructed exclusively of machine made materials. Plastic. Metal. Polyester. Instead, as we plan our new environments, we are choosing elements that are more natural. The primitive look of sisal carpeting. Natural stone mosaic tiles. Wood burning and Gas Fireplaces. Luxury High-rise Apartment Living. It seems that the almighty Computer is quite comfortable in an environment that looks as though it might have come out of Better Homes & Gardens, the Roman Empire Edition Special Issue. Here is a peek at a few of those items that you may find on your road to the Ancient  Futuristic City. Click any photo icon below to be taken to the virtual showroom.
